Who's your favorite martial artist in movies and what's your favorite martial arts film?

My favorite would have to be Tom Yum Goong. Its about a stolen elephant and The Man, Tony Jaa must go to the Outback and retrieve his most precious pet. With thugs and goons along the way, this movie is frickin' awesome! electrifying punches, gravity defying kicks and unbelievable somersaults makes this movie the pure coolness. Don't mention the solid rock plot too.

And my fave martial artist back then was Bruce Lee.

But move over Bruce, Tony Jaa is the MAN!

Who's your favorite martial artist in movies and what's your favorite martial arts film?
I grew up watching Bruce lee(fave- Enter the Dragon), Van Damme (Blood sport), Dolph Lundgren(Showdown in little Tokyo, Universal Soldier) and Chuck Norris(Code of SIlence) Films. I had begun liking Brandon lee (Rapid Fire,Crow) I never liked Jackie Chan too much.

Jet Lee (Fearless, The One, Unleashed) is really fast, I recently saw a documentary on Shaolin monks which featured him as a child, showing off his moves. Tony Jaa is awesome, Ong Bak the Thai film had some amazing fights. The Thai fighting style Muay Thai need more recognition, as there are not too many films that feature it.

I also like the Samurai films, Zatoichi (i liked the new version) and older ones like Yojimbo, Sanjuro *ing Toshiro Mifune (Dir: Akira Kurosawa). And Versus (a samurai -zombie film).

Recent Favorites Movies-

Hero *ing Jet Lee,

House of Flying daggers *ing Andy Lao and Takeshi Kaneshiro

Ong Bak *ing Tony Jaa

Kill Bill (Tarantino) as his tribute to martial arts in the movies.
Reply:Jet Li is my favorite martial artist. My favorite movie he is in is "Romeo Must Die."
Reply:Bruce Lee. Enter the Dragon. Classic.
Reply:Too many to list.

Bruce Lee, of course. Jet Li, Jackie Chan, Samo Hung, Yuen Beu and Chow Yun Fat.

Oh, and the 80's Shaw Brothers movies that had the 5 Deadly Venoms actors.
Reply:My favourite martial artists are Steven Seagal, Chuck Norris, Van Damme, and Jet Li. I don't have a favourite martial arts film because most of the ones I've watched are excellent.
Reply:I'm probably going to spell his name wrong, but his name is

Sho Kashugi. He's a Ninja master. Enter the Ninja and Return of the Ninja were two films that were really great.
