If Bruce Lee were still alive, what impact would he have had......?

in today's movies or martial arts, or even to society. He was one of my hero's when I was growing up, and wished he never died.

If Bruce Lee were still alive, what impact would he have had......?
Bruce Lee was an amazing man. They used to say he was the most fit man in the world. He was in better shape physically than anybody at that time. I see questions asked on here who would win in a fight. Bruce Lee or Jet Li or some other well know person. The answer is, "no contest". Bruce was so far beyond everybody else. He could beat any fighter just with his mind alone. He could out think any fighter and beat them to the punch. It's ashame some people die so young.

Reply:He would have continued to make martial arts movies and his reputation would have thrived.

I would imagine that although bruce lee's actual skill level is questionable because there is no fight record and the only video we have of him sparring that I've ever seen (and a lot of people) is this one: http://youtube.com/watch?v=aky-PLIEBQA

(I can guess he is the one in all black)

One thing that is doccumented is that bruce lee did advocate full contact sparring (with all targets) at a time in the martial arts when that was not too common so even if his skill wasn't as good, he would have been exposed and I would imagine have gone back and trained to get better, not make up excuses.

I think eventually he would have developed himself to incorporate groundfighting for the purposes of training his students in what has come a reality with the popularity of bjj and MMA. He himself would likely not be able to spar or do anything full contact today as he would have been in his 60s and might have had health problems. We would have seen if he was good because of his physical ability, or because of his technique as he got older and his speed faded with age. Whether he would have been able to cover this with experience is a high probability.

One thing is for certain there is no way in hell bruce would have kicked *** in the UFC or pride because of his age when they became popular. IF he did compete it would have been in the early UFCs and would likely not have developed any groundgame to defend against submissions or takedowns and the gracies would have still dominated. Either way he would have been WAY over the hill already to have competed because he would be around 50 or so, way older than anyone and he would lack the physical ability to be a presence in the UFC. Likely he would have been a sought after coach and had a role, but not as a fighter.

Bruce lee also mimicked muhammad ali to learn from him, he admits muhammad ali would have kicked his *** in a fight.

I doubt he would have been as popular once other ma actors came out if he were still alive also as I believe much of his image is based on his death and linda lee shamelessly trying to cash in on her late husband's image.
