What from of martial arts focuses more on.... acrobatic like moves?

have u seen those movies where there is like a hooded figure on a rooftop (say an assassian) jumping from rooftop to rooftop. thats what i meann by acrobatic

What from of martial arts focuses more on.... acrobatic like moves?
Aikido is not focused on striking, kicking, punching, but more on using energy of your opponent to gain control. Motion and dynamics of movement are emphasized. Control of one’s Ki…Energy and Spirit. The styles of Akido are numerous and many are considered as non competitive art, but they are very effective at rendering an opponent helpless

Maybe this is acrobatic enough...
Reply:That Brazilian martial dance. Its all about acrobatic movement.
Reply:Its chinese kung-fu. Acrobatic moves are parts of their routine or style to have an unlimited moves and be more flexible.
Reply:What you don't see in the movie is the wire that holds the actor up from falling on his face and the 15 takes they do to make it look good..if your looking for a "pretty" style of martial arts, though not very effective in the streets, try Tai Kwan Do....God knows there are enough of those studios around.
Reply:All of that is Hollywood style acrobatics and tricks. But if your underlying question is about finding acrobatic martial arts that involve areal techniques, jumping, kicking etc. then consider these...

TKD, Choy Lay Fut, Muay Thai, Capoeira and of course Wushu.

All have different levels of effectiveness so you need to study each one, but if you want acrobatic you can't go wrong with any of the arts listed.

What you want beyond acrobatics is up to you and your next quest/answer you should seek.

Hope I've helped.
Reply:Contemporary wushu.

Reply:Gymkata! : P
Reply:The best I got for jumping from rooftops to rooftops is Le Parkour. It isn't a martial art but its a sport.used to be illegal but now its legal. The best martial arts for acrobatic moves is the Capoeira.the brazillian fight-dancing
Reply:kool you like the same thing as me i would suggest starting with either taekwondo or wushu then once your studying the martial art you may want to read up and watch a thing called XMA (extreme martial arts) its not and actual martial art but it has all the acrobatic stuff you could want put it in youtube or search Steve terada he is my idol for XMA and he is awesome both TKD and wushu are good one has 540 kicks one has b-twists but you'll learn both those tricks in both of the martial arts so i hope this helps
