Can martial arts realy make girls beat men ?

for myself i dont believe that , but since i always see that in movies , and hear it as if it's a fact ,i begain to doubt myself , am i wrong ? can girls really become strong or skilled enough to fight and beat men in a real street fights ?

Can martial arts realy make girls beat men ?
It can make a woman better able to defend herself, but no way would someon like jessica alba be able to beat up more than one guy or even one guy in reasonable shape who outweighed her by 60 lbs. That's all fiction. These 110 lb. models just couldn't take the impact of even a glancing blow from a man and their wrists and hands couldn't take the impact of hitting these guys.
Reply:It depends on the girl and the guy. I've met some big, scary ladies who could beat the crap out of most not so big and scary men. Add in the factor of a big scary woman with martial arts training taking on a small-ish man with no training, and there ya go... Report It

Reply:i have in martial arts class.

i was in a competition and beat a guy.

of course we were using gear and stuff

i was faster, but his kicks were harder.

hope this helped-pauline
Reply:martial arts isn't a joke. it's training, rigorous and intense. if a girl goes through all of that intensive training and finds a wuss of a guy trying to steal her purse, the outcome is obvious.
Reply:Depends on the Martial Art learned, but yes, if a girl gets the right training and puts the time and effort required into it than most anyone, male or female can fight a man. One thing to remember is that the whole point of a fight is not to beat the other guy up, it is to protect yourself, hurt the other guy just enough to make it so he (or she) does not hurt you.

Check out www.martialtalk.com a lot of good info, knowledge and good people there that can give you the what/where/when if you what to know about protecting yourself.
Reply:personally, no. no woman in the world can beat me!!!!
Reply:any girl could beat up a guy, even without specaial training.
Reply:absolutely not,and any one who thinks this ,is not to bright.Woman do not pocess the strength to resist a brutal onslaught of a man.A woman may be good in point sparring....but point sparring has no real life value. Now on the other hand,a woman can learn the skills to escape an attacker, any woman who stands and fights is a foolish one at that
Reply:It depends on how skilled she is. If she hits the right spots fast enough a woman can take a man down. A man will almost always have an advantage in raw physical power but that doesn't guarantee his victory.
Reply:I do 4 different types of martial arts, I train Monday thru Saturday for about 2 to 3 hours (sometimes 4), I have several friends that are black belts that train with me , I have beaten up several grown men to the point where they come to me for help and advise and I'm only 15 yrs old and I'm usually a lower rank than them. I also have taken down a guy who was 217lbs to my 114. If u ever saw me then u would never believe any of it cause I'm a toothpick. Don't ever tell me that a girl can't beat up a guy. guys that know me fear me, although they shouldn't cause really I'm a nice person, lol. If a girl really put her mind to it and worked hard and made it a goal then they could become a good martial artist and beat up whoever, man or woman.
Reply:Of course the main difference between men and women is strength if a women is skilled in martial arts than she has a huge advantage a women can be as strong as a man although some men would argue that point but my wife is very tough and knows a little Ju-Jitsu and i am sure she can beat a couple of guys that i know. For women i would say that Ju-Jitsu is the best form of defence you don't have to overpower your opponent and you wont have to trade punches or kicks just a couple of easy techniques arm bars leg locks and chokes very easy to apply on someone with no experience. Just remember street fights are very predictable and your opponent will always be looking for that big right hand and as soon as he throws it duck the punch and take him down for the arm bar.

Give it a go you wont regret it.
Reply:martial arts makes u skilful, it is not all about strength, it is about presence of mind ,controling ur emotions and hiting the opponent in the right point and spot, it doesnt matter the opppnent is boy or girl, no doubt if u are more techinically right u can beat a man.
Reply:but if the boy has not lernt an the girl has learnt she can
Reply:I am a 40 year old woman that takes a class called Krav Magra. It can be found on the official website. Although I cannot state that I can beat a man I can say that I have been taught the skills and techniques to defend myself and get out of a dangerous situation. I can definetly cause some damage to anyone that attacks me.
Reply:How dare you!? It isn't about women beating men, or men being able to beat women! I know pleanty of guys who have been in street fights, and held their own, and plenty of girls too who have been into serious fight, and frankly kicked butt! If you're a real fighter, it isn't about strength, its about how quick and affective your punches are, your technique is more imporant then being able to lift a car. You should give more credit to girls, in fact, i would be more than happy for you to bring this subject up to my good friend, (martial arts champion) she would be more than happy to change your point of view.
Reply:yes. Depending on the girls and the men.
Reply:The real answer is: It depends.

It depends on the styles, it depends if it's in the street or in a competition.

Personally, I'm a brazilian jiu jitsu fan because it's the most practical of arts out there right now in my opinion.

A woman who knows tae kwon do is not going to beat someone who gets her on the ground.

I've known grown men with black belts in tae kwon do get their *** kicked because they thought they were hot stuff on their feet, but somebody got this dude I know on the ground and beat the tar out of him.

So it depends: If a woman is trained in BJJ? I think she'll break someone's arm or ankle. Tae kwon do or any striking art? Who knows. If she doesn't get some good shots in, then she can go down just like any man could.
Reply:yes a girl can beat a man if she knows a martial art. a female will never be as stronge as a man but she will still be able to beat some. hell some could probably beat a guy without the knowledge of martial arts.
Reply:No, martial arts can not MAKE girls beat men. M.A. gives the practitioner the tools not the talent. Their is a whole different reality when fighting street as opposed to competition.

Movies are just make believe. (I personally like China O'Brien myself.) If it were a true fight, the man would have to be an inexperienced idiot. Most of us are, thank goodness.
Reply:Well, here's a little story for you: a few months ago, a 15-year-old girl here in town was attacked by two men. They didn't know that she was training in Ju-Jitsu. She hit one guy in the face and knocked him to the ground, and probably dislocated the other guy's elbow or shoulder. She couldn't really be sure, because they ran off.

OK, so you could defend that this is an attack and not a full-on "fight". The point is, though, that yes, no matter the size disadvantage, the martial arts can level the playing field.
Reply:i do kung fu. i've beat up guys. like at camp, these kids were threatening my brother. they actually climbed into a tree with a metal baseball bat. i noticed. i pulled that kid down, and i didn't get in trouble either. yeah. you can see a pic of me when i was about eight at http://www.shaolininstitute.com/index.ht... under the home page picture of anyone can join ages three and up. that was a practice fight. later i beat up this boy in my class. i knocked out two of his teeth gave him a bloody nose and lip and he weighed between 40+60 pounds more than i did
Reply:A trained girl against a non-trained guy, probably. A trained girl against a trained guy, depends, but men will always be stronger than girls, regardless of weight. Women's bodies can take more pain, we can resist it. Our bodies were designed to be strong, so we could resist labor and the birth of our children, we can take more pain. But, men are stronger.

I also have a little story. There was this girl who trained kung fu. She was sleeping, it was around 1 a.m. A men went into her house, then into her room. He tried to rape her. She beat him up so bad, then even had the chance to tie him up, then she called the cops. That story was all over the news in my community. It was a little long time ago.

  1. Bullshit, all boys give girls advantage and don't wanna hit hard,if don't 99% 'fights' on the training will be win by boys, besides average but strong men will beat any women who training martial arts, women may win only with weak 'men'...
