Fearless (Huo Yuan Jia)?

Man this movie looks awesome. As a huge fan of the old B-grade kung fu movies and Jet Li, I am eagerly waiting for the release of his final martial arts epic on the 20th. For all you kung fu movie fans, what was your favorite kung fu flick of all time?

Fearless (Huo Yuan Jia)?
I have a few...the epics first...

Bride with White Hair (aka) Bai fa mo nu zhuan

-starring Leslie Cheung and Brigitte Lin

Swordsmen 2 (aka) Xiao ao jiang hu zhi dong fang bu bai

-starring Jet Li and Brigitte Lin

Fighter in the Wind (aka) Barumi Fighter

-starring Dong-kun Yang

and all the Bruce Lee films...

BY the way....Fearless....was superb....excellent. Jet's best movie on all levels. Peace.
Reply:The movie that actually got me started in Martial Arts films was "The Matrix." But some of my faverite traditional kung fu movies that I like include, "Dagger 8, Hero, Kung Fu Hustle, and The Medalion."
Reply:I'm not a big fan of kung fu movies, but I if I had to pick one, it would be "Dragon: The Bruce Lee Story" ( http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0106770/ ), not only because it is a true story but also because the fight scenes serve to *enhance* the story as opposed to *being* the story. (I find many kung fu movies similar to pornos in that they have no real plot; they're just a series of fight [or sex] scenes one after the other.) Also, the fighting in "Dragon..." is done at a moderate pace, which I prefer to the frenetic pace of some of the Chow-Yun Fat and Jet Li movies I've seen. It's hard for me to watch fight scenes when hands and feet become a blur.

I also like the "The Karate Kid" ( http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0087538/ ) and "Best of the Best" ( http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0096913/ ) ... Do they count?
