Martial arts movies I have not seen?

I have seen all the Bruce Lee, and all the Jet Li movies. Yes, all the old and new Jet Li. I've seen a lot of the shaw brothers movies like 36th Chamber, and mystery of chess boxing, etc. I saw both of the Ang Bak movies. I've seen all of the jackie Chan and the Iron Monkey movies also.

So, what movies do you think have first rate action, decent plot, and really talented martial artists that I may not have seen? Production value and good acting are not as important.

Martial arts movies I have not seen?
I classify a first rate king fu film with these criteria. 1. Fight Choreography

2. Plot ( mostly kung fu films are fueled by the theme of revenge so its the creative and unconventional approach to that over played theme which makes it interesting)

3. Star Power

4. Production and costumes (its one of my pet peeves)

So I'd recommend these films

Shaw Brothers

Legendary weapons of China

8 Diagram Pole Fighters

Clan of the white lotus

Heroes of the East

Shaolin Mantis

Chinese Super Ninjas

The Prodigal Son- Samo Hung ,Yuen Biao

Shaolin vs Lama

Ninja in the Dragon's Den

There's a korean film called Fighter in the Wind its very good.

There's more but I think you should check these out if you have not already
Reply:The Proctector
Reply:I know you watched Jet Li movies but have you seen the ones that are actally in chinese? They have subtitles, but look up "once apon a time in china", they're 3 movies in the series. Also, i watched this one movie, it's hard to translate it but i can make out the words red sword.
Reply:Check out The Street Fighter and Return of the Street Fighter starring Sonny Chiba; they're unique in being the ONLY movies to be released with an X rating (back when X was equivalent to the R rating, not porn) and have absolutely no nudity; all violence! Also, it features all karate, no Kung Fu, which cool to see for a change.

Also, some of Jet Li's later movies pay homage to some of the scenes from The Street Fighter, so if you dig Jet Li, you should check them out.
Reply:hoes thugs and skrillah! thats my all time favorite kunf fu flick, return of the deadly blade, and duel to the death is pretty dope.
Reply:i don't think it's EXACTLY what you're looking for....but it's got some pretty cool fight scenes and i think if you like the martial arts-type movies, you'll love 'old boy'.

let me know what you think!!
